Candle Light Reading

Jesus said, “I am the light of the world;
the one who follows me will not walk
in darkness, but have the light of life.”

We light these candles as a sign
of the coming light of Christ.

The people who walked in darkness have
seen a great light; those who lived in a land
of deep darkness – on them light has shined.
ISAIAH 9:2

COME, LORD JESUS, OUR PROMISE AND OUR SALVATION.
LET US WALK IN THE LIGHT OF THE LORD.

When peace like a river attendeth my way
When sorrows like sea billows roll
Whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say
It is well, it is well with my soul

My sin, oh the bliss of this glorious thought
My sin, not in part, but the whole

The sky, not the grave, is our goal
Oh, trump of the angel! Oh, voice of the Lord!

And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight
The clouds be rolled back as a scroll
The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend
Even so, it is well with my soul!
