isaiah 61:1-3

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; to grant to those who mourn in Zion – to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that the may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified.

I Will Wait For You

Shane & Shane

psalm 130

A Song of Ascents.

Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord!
   O Lord, hear my voice!
Let your ears be attentive
to the voice of my pleas for mercy!

If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities,
   O Lord, who could stand?
But with you there is forgiveness,
   that you may be feared.

I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
   and in his word I hope;
my soul waits for the Lord
more than watchmen for the morning,
more than watchmen for the morning.

O Isreal, hope in the Lord!
For with the Lord there is steadfast love,
and with him is plentiful redemption.
And he will redeem Isreal
   from all his iniquities.
